Darn Oldham - The Promoter

From Los Angeles to Atlanta, GA

Darn Oldham is an actor, author and promoter who moved to Atlanta in 2003 after 30 years in Los Angeles where he was instrumental in giving some of the hottest parties and events in the city. Some were at his home in View Park which was known as The Mini-Mansion.

As a founding member of the social organization called “The Group”, he gave functions at the home of Lamont McLemore of the 5th Dimensions and a black-tie movie premiere, “Body and Soul”.

Also, with “The Group” and “Onyx”, he was involved in several nightclubs in Los Angeles including The Greenhouse, Vesuvius, Arriba, Saturday nights at Little J’s, The Candy Store, Jackie O’s, The Speakeasy, and The Fantasea Yacht Club in Marina del Rey, CA.

Currently, as a member of the Jazz-At-Sea group, Darn is one of the host of a Black-Tie New Years Eve Party every year in Los Angeles, which has been on-going for over 20 years. The Jazz-At-Sea group became L.A. Promoters in 2019.

Darn is also involved in the First Friday events in Los Angeles and future events that will resume  after Los Angeles recovers from the Pandemic and the death of one the main promoters and friend, Roland Wirt, RIP.

Darn and his wife are bi-coastal living in both Los Angeles and Atlanta, which he calls Wakanda and acknowledges as his second home.
